Daily Advice May 16, 2012 振振有詞 Appropriate speech

振振有詞***

君子不言談邪惡
只會是言談仁義
對每句話都尊重
如說話不合仁義
就只好沈默寡言
所言皆振振有詞
不會是狡詐不義
從不會高傲自大

Appropriate speech ***

A gentleman will not have a conversation with you that is in any sense improper. His conversation is based on honesty and integrity. Every sentence is respectful. If he doesn’t have any thing good to say, he will prefer to remain silent. His words are plausible and not deceitful. Arrogance is not in his dictionary.

恣態高傲 ***

人如果恣態高傲
對於自己的意見
定要人奉若聖旨
全沒有商量餘地
試問會有多少人
真的會口服心服
試去為對方著想
或可令對方認同

Being arrogant ***

If you are arrogant and you insist on everyone having to agree with your opinion and follow your instructions. You don’t allow any negotiation. In such a situation, how can you expect people to be convinced that you are right? The most you can expect is lip service. On the contrary, if you try to think about the position of your opposite party and be a little bit understanding, you may earn the respect from others.

Wow, i listen to everyone with an open mind and heart. I presume that everyone is being honest with me as I am to everyone in return. I would not said or give my opinion if i myself have not been through a situation, everyone situations they had gone through is different. I do not generalized anyone situation. I only lend an ear to listen . I believe respect is earn by your actions and not just your words. words can be disguise and dishonest, in time the truth will review itself from your actions. Thank you philip.
