No need to show off ***

There is no need to show off when you are lucky. But when you have no luck, you don't need to be upset but rather, be patient. Don’t let the unlucky situation make you angry and lead you to do stupid things. Don't make your situation any worse than it is now otherwise you will regret it. By then it may be too late to recover.

To show off is a sign of weakness ***

Showing off isn't a smart move. As a matter of fact, it can be quite foolish. Although it appears you may have an advantage over others, in fact, no one really agrees with, listens to, respects and obeys you, if they see a display of selfish pride.

Go along with reality ***

In a workplace, everyone can be replaced and there is nothing that you must possess. If you understand this philosophy, you will not care whether it is a win or a loss. You will not think it is a big deal if you lose something. There is no need to be extraordinarily sad when you lose something. Don’t let it bother you to the degree that you cannot eat or drink. Try your best to go along with what happens and accept reality.

Correct your mistakes ***

Don’t use the excuse of other people’s wrong doing to punish yourself. Also don’t take it upon yourself to punish others. Also don’t punish yourself for your own mistakes. As long as you understand that you have made a mistake and are willing to correct it, that itself is good enough.

Being a wise man, you can tolerate a stupid person. Being a tranquil person, you can tolerate a disorderly person. Being a knowledgeable person, you can tolerate someone who knows very little. If you can tolerate an incompetent person, you can perform an outstanding and important job.

Being insatiably greedy***

Nobody welcomes anyone who is insatiably greedy even he, himself, finds it difficult to be happy. If you think carefully, how can you be satisfied if you are excessively greedy? The reason why you are not happy because you can't be happy unless all your greed is fully satisfied.

Competition***

When two people are competing with each other during a critical period in a workplace, one of them will get burnt. Under this situation, it may not be a good move to add fire. It is advisable to make one step backward or even pretend to be ignorant, you may be able to save your job and then, wait for your next opportunity.

What to do at critical times***

One of the best approaches, during a critical moment in a workplace, is to be flexible about your plan and don't let others know what you intend to do. The worst is to insist on what you want. Even if your opponent has some interest, they will change their mind and reject your plan, if you are rigid and inflexible in your requirements.

Demonstrate your potential***

You need to demonstrate your potential at all times. Such a performance is not an act but gives you power to move forward. By contrast, if you have a lot of hidden potential and are too modest not to show it, how do you expect other people to appreciate what you have? In the end, your talents are being wasted.

Follow a decent path***

Whatever you do, you need to follow a decent path. Don't do anything injurious to others. Don't do it for the sake of being famous for a moment. Nor do it to make people look bad. If this is what you like to do, you only become everybody's enemy. Ultimately you are the target of public criticism. That doesn't add any value to your life.

Sense of responsibility***

Working is not for the sake of making a living. It comes with a sense of responsibility but it has to come from your innermost being. It is not about making money, nor is it about promotion. Definitely it is not for purposes of flattering your boss. Only if you have a true sense of responsibility, then you will be able to perform remarkably.

Make the right decision at the right time***

A capable person knows when to make the right decision at the right time. They will not procrastinate and do a sloppy job. Nor will they slow down. They are capable of picking up a task easily and show no hesitation to let it go if need to be. They never waste any time. With such an attitude, they definitely can perform an outstanding job.

Hypocrite***

Some people only care for themselves and nobody else. Although these people may dress up nicely and put on a kind face, in reality, they are selfish. They always want to outdo others. Be careful, they are hypocrites and can do things to harm you.

You and you alone***

People sometimes can be very close and yet at other times, they can be distant. No matter how close you are, it is like a pendulum. It always swings from one side to the other side. Only you and you alone can stay so close that you are always on your own side.

Anger***

Life is forever changing. Why must you be angry? Being angry does not solve any problems. Anger does not make people feel good. Being angry is only an escape. Anger means you are weak in self control. In fact, anger may even hurt you. So, instead of being angry, make your best effort to forget the whole instance and move on to do something more meaningful.

Life is short***

Life is too short not to enjoy it. Don’t let small disputes among people annoy you. Don’t let small stuff upset you and destroy your health. Victory or defeat is an everyday event. Don’t get angry and start cursing people. Even if you win this time, no one will remember who wins or who loses after you are gone.

You can control results ***

Things come and go. You never know how and when it started. Although everything is unpredictable, you can control the result. As long as you have a personal goal and work diligently towards achieving your goal, you definitely can control the outcome.

The side effects of not letting go of the past***

If you are covetous of wealth and fame, it may destroy your bright future. If you take winning or losing too seriously, you will forfeit your wisdom. If you don’t let go of the past, you will end up with nothing but pain. Don’t add stress to yourself. If you do so, you will end up being tired of life.

Put down your bag***

If you are not willing to reorganize the contents of your bag, you will feel the heavy weight of the bag. When you put it on your shoulder, it is so heavy that it affects your movement. If you carry the bag daily, it is a big burden. But if you are willing to throw away some of the things in your bag, you will feel more comfortable.

Master of the House***

It is not easy to be the Master of the House. Aside from working hard to make a living, you have to take care of your health and your family. You need to be patient and loving to your spouse. You need to spend time coaching your children in their school work. You also need to find time to play with your children. Only you, yourself, know whether this is a life of bitterness or sweetness.

Be flexible ***

Don’t be too stubborn. Sometimes, it is better to go along with the flow. If a mountain cannot turn itself, we can make the road turn. If the road cannot turn, people can turn. If people cannot turn, your heart can make the turn. If you are flexible, you can make anything happen. You can turn an area without a road into an area with a road. Being flexible, everything will work out well.

Regrets ***

Everyone has regrets and wants to get rid of them. However, it seems like the harder you try, the more difficult it is. It is like a black cloud over your head. To have a meaningful life, you must have a personal goal. But you must strive towards your goal using good manners as your standard of behavior. It is common that one's talent is not being recognized immediately. Sometimes even if you have talents, you need to find opportunities to demonstrate your potential.
