The Dragon Boat Festival (passed from generation to generation) is in memory of Qu Yuan who saw their own country would soon be defeated but he couldn't save it. Therefore he jumped into a river and committed suicide.

To commemorate Qu Yuan's patriotism, people organize Dragon Boat Racing Festival. Such Dragon Boat Race became a traditional folk custom till this day.
