Mencius and Xunzi***

Mencius’ philosophy is that men are born with a merciful heart but Xunzi’s philosophy is that men are born with a wicked heart. It really doesn’t matter who is right or who is wrong. As long as our goal is to train ourselves to be a good person who won’t do anything injurious to others but only performs good deeds to help others. If we do that, both Mencius and Xunzi should be OK with that. Since we have either turned our wicked nature into a good one or we have kept up our good nature to contribute something good to our society, we should feel good for ourselves too.

Offer constructive criticisms tactfully***

Saying good things will always help people. When people say good things, it shows in their face. In pointing out other people’s mistakes, they always use tact and never use any harsh words to criticize people. In this way, your opposite party will accept your advice gladly and correct their mistakes.
