Good and bad times in life ***
Life is full of changes. If you can accept changes, you will feel less troubled. Fame is nothing but a dream and wealth is like snow in hot weather. Life is like watching a play. No one can replace the actor in going through both good and bad times. Growing old is the same; no one can go through being sick and die for you. When you reach retirement age, you should definitely try to enjoy the golden years.
The thunderstorm and the sun ***
After the thunderstorm is over, the sun will come out. White clouds are all over the sky. A rainbow of beautiful colors may appear in the sky. Experiencing such weather will make you feel good. Tell yourself that today is a good day. Everything will work out fine for you. You should celebrate such a good day with your friends and relatives.

Life vs justice ***
Although you may not be a sage, and cannot take charge to take action in getting rid of all bad people in your society, you still can have a heart that is moved by justice. There is a Chinese saying that you like to be righteous and love your own life. When faced with choosing between life and justice, you must remember to choose justice.
Take one step backwards ***
There are times when having to step backwards doesn’t mean you are giving up. Definitely it doesn’t mean you are accepting failure. It can be a smart move, and a strategy to show your politeness. Stepping backwards can have boundless possibilities and create a peaceful atmosphere for everyone.

Prestige ***
As a good leader, if you want to maintain prestige, you must, at the minimum, be an honest person. You should not lie and use nonsensical excuses. What you say must match what reality is; otherwise people will doubt your strategy. You will end up achieving nothing.
Happy cooperation ***
As a good leader, one must know how to use people’s talent, help people’s career development, and most importantly find ways to keep good talent. If a leader wants to make everyone happy, he/she should not have a selfish motive, but should maintain high moral standards. Only if he/she does that, will people cooperate with him/her happily.

We control our fate

We control our fate ***
You can’t blame your fate for all adversity in life. Don’t forget you control your own fate. If you don’t have enough food to eat and clothes to keep you warm, most probably you are lazy. If you are lazy, how can fate make you rich? You must work hard and diligently in order to make enough to have full meals and warm clothes.
Work hard, work diligently ***
Achievements without putting efforts in it can only be, the most, considered to be being one time lucky. You can’t always rely on luck but working hard on your own effort. If you only count on luck, you are a big fool. Life has ups and downs and you must work hard at all times. Only then will you be able to lead a meaningful life full of achievements.

Appreciate who you are
Daily Advice
Author: Philip Chan
goodadvicechan@yahoo.com
http://good-advice-book.blogspot.com/
Appreciate who you are ***
We all should appreciate who we are and be proud of ourselves. It isn’t an act of being conceited. It is a way of building up one’s self-confidence and makes one smile from within. If you continue to do that, you will be able to perform your job with half the effort you normally require. Why don’t you give it a try?
Know when to stop and when to start ***
If you know when to stop and when to start, and don’t focus too much on the end result, only concentrate on putting in your best efforts to perform the job, even if your business is not doing well, you don’t need to feel bad about it but treat it as a learning lesson. Apply what you have learned and move forward.

Violation of the correct path
Daily Advice
Author: Philip Chan
goodadvicechan@yahoo.com
http://good-advice-book.blogspot.com/
Violation of the correct path ***
Indulging in a dissipated way of life will harm your health. Spending your wealth on luxury items is a waste of money and you will never be rich. If you treat people without righteousness and act heartlessly, you will never have true friends. If you deviate from an appropriate path in life, you can’t be a gentleman.
Most favorable auspices ***
Adhering to an appropriate path in life brings good luck, while deviating from the natural justice in life can be a calamity. Arbitrary behavior, without any self-control, which comes from violating your conscience, can lead to disastrous situations. Law-abiding behavior will make you feel safe and comfortable, and ultimately have days that will bring you fulfillment.

All men are created equal
Daily Advice
Author: Philip Chan
goodadvicechan@yahoo.com
http://good-advice-book.blogspot.com/
All men are created equal ***
All men are created equal. If you want to do better than others, you must be well prepared psychologically. First you must have confidence in yourself and determined to support yourself to go through all tough situations. If you are prepared to do so and maintain a positive attitude, your success rate will be high.
Fight for an upper position ***
If you want to fight for an upper position, you need to prepare yourself for it. First you need to know who your opponent is, and in addition, fully understand how you stand. Make sure you do everything possible to make yourself better than your opponent. Only if you can do that, will you stand a chance to win; otherwise the most you can expect is that your chance of success is the same as your opponent.

When two people are together
Daily Advice
Author: Philip Chan
goodadvicechan@yahoo.com
http://good-advice-book.blogspot.com/
When two people are together ***
When two people are both of a calculating sort, they will not be happy living together. Negative feelings between them are unavoidable. It is not important who is right and who is wrong. The key to happiness is to mutually show respect and if no one is willing to give in a little, they will end up separated on bad terms.
Keep up the good work ***
Be calm and think about this for a moment: who hasn’t made any mistakes in one’s life? Only if you can give in a little, be tolerant of other people’s mistakes and forgive them, can you turn a serious dispute into a minor matter. You may even make the minor matter disappear. Then everybody can cooperate and keep up the good work.

Daily Advice July 19, 2012 戰鬥力 Effectiveness of fighting spirit
Daily Advice
Author: Philip Chan
goodadvicechan@yahoo.com
http://good-advice-book.blogspot.com/
Effectiveness of fighting spirit ***
As long as you have a strong will, you will have a strong capacity to perform anything. Will power gives you a strong fighting spirit. Gandhi had a strong will to fight. With such a will, he didn’t need to use violence to protest. Instead his civil disobedience turned into a non-cooperative movement against the United Kingdom and ultimately drove them out of India.
Will Power ***
When faced with adversity, one must have will power. As long as you have strong will power, your ability to survive will be enhanced. You will have more energy to persevere through any difficult times. No matter how bad the situation is, you will be able to contest it until you turn the situation around.

Knowledge of building relationship
Daily Advice
Author: Philip Chan
goodadvicechan@yahoo.com
http://good-advice-book.blogspot.com/
Knowledge of building relationship ***
Choosing a friend is an art. It is difficult to explain how to build a good relationship. Good friends can help you build your career but bad friends can ruin your career. There is one thing you ought to remember: even if you treat people with a kind heart, there is no guarantee people will choose to treat you the same. They have a choice in how they react to you.
Beware of people’s behavior ***
You may know people’s appearance but you may not know what they are thinking inside themselves. Therefore don’t blindly trust people, nor arbitrarily try to meet people. You must be careful when you meet a new person. If you mix with the wrong crowd, you may get yourself into trouble. This is like attracting a group of ants onto your body and they will make you itchy.

A good leader
A good leader ***
If you want to be a good leader, you must first be broadminded. If your subordinate makes a small mistake, don’t make it a big issue. There is no need to punish him/her severely. It is best to forgive him/her and gives him/her a chance to correct his/her mistake. Not only will your subordinates be grateful, you will win their respect.
Do your best to repair the damage ***
Responsible leaders will not use excuses to cover up their mistakes. When they discover that they have made a mistake, they will not conceal the facts but sincerely admit their mistakes. They will take responsibilities and find ways to repair the damage. They will continue to do so until the matter is fixed properly.

20. At times of adversity ***
Adversity may make you have a strong will to move forward, but a comfort zone may make you lazy and cause you to lose direction propelling you towards an undesirable path. We refer to this as surviving adversity, but not live long in a comfort zone.
Life can be bitter and short ***
The cliché says “Life can be bitter and short.” Birth, growing old, being sick and death are different kinds of pain. Being lonely in old age is another kind of bitterness. We all should have friends. We should understand that being sick definitely is no fun; therefore we should take care of our health. No matter how bitter life can be, we have one choice i.e. we should do everything possible to struggle to survive.

Opportunity ***
When an opportunity hasn’t showed up yet, it is time to get prepared for it. Relax a bit and let your body take a rest. It is time to charge your battery. If you want to laugh, laugh. If you want to cry, don’t be despaired. Just be patient and wait for your opportunity.
Endless accumulation ***
It takes a long time to be successful. Success is the endless accumulation of your efforts contributed to achieving your goal. The whole process is long and at times it can be painful. But you must treat these painful experiences as part of the joy of being successful. As long as you keep a smiling face through the whole process, you will ultimately manage to go through the difficult times and become successful.

Always be prepared to listen to other people’s advice and be honest in facing your true self. Do not try to hide your shortcomings, but rather concentrate on demonstrating your strengths. It is always safer to be modest at all times.

See it clear and see it through
Daily Advice

goodadvicechan@yahoo.com

See it clear and see it through ***
If you are in agreement that whatever you own today, there is a possibility that someday you will lose it. If that is the case, you should be careful in dealing with anything. Don’t just look at the surface but look deeply inside otherwise you will not have a complete detailed understanding of what is going on. If you do that, you will appreciate all problems will have a solution.
Follow the flow ***
Life journey is like waves in a big sea. When there is a big wind, the waves will be blown as high as one storey high. Suddenly the waves will draw back and can be calm again. Life is similar. There is no need to be moody. Everything will have its beginning and its end. The best approach to deal with life is to follow the flow.

Being disinterested ***
Being disinterested doesn’t mean you have no principles. Nor does it mean you don’t have a brain. It means that you are taking a fair approach to deal with the situation. You don’t take sides and you don’t take advantages of others. Needless to say, you will never use your authority to force people to do something for your own benefits. Instead, you are willing to offer people a hand when needed.
A competent gentleman ***
A competent gentleman is always well prepared for the rainy days. He always does well; whether it is a job of delivering charcoal to help people keep warm, or providing assistance to help people get out of a dangerous situation, or encouraging other people to do better. No matter what he does, he always has a detailed strategy. No wonder, everything goes smoothly.

He always does well; whether it is a job of delivering charcoal to help people keep warm, or providing assistance to help people get out of a dangerous situation, or encouraging other people to do better. No matter what he does, he always has a detailed strategy. No wonder, everything goes smoothly.

Life is full of unanticipated events ***
Life is full of unanticipated events. A happy event can suddenly turn into a disaster while a disastrous situation can be turned into one with a happy ending. It is like the life of a flower. Today the flower may be withering away, but there is hope that the flower will bloom again and it even can be more beautiful. As a person, we should always wear a smiling face and let happiness be around us at all times.
Lucky fellow ***
If you want to be a lucky fellow, just think of the happy days. For example, think of the times when you and your family members are together enjoying a happy moment, or the time when your lover is in your arms. When you think of these happy moments, there is no reason for you to feel sad. Those happy moments will make you feel that you are a lucky fellow.

Always say “Thank You”
Always say “Thank You” ***
When you say negative words, you will make people feel uncomfortable. Why don’t you always say “Thank You”? Saying “Thank You” will not harm anyone but make people feel comfortable. Putting on a smile when saying “Thank You” will make you more approachable. Why don’t you wear a smile and say “Thank You”?
Protection of life ***
We should do everything possible to protect life. We should not do anything to injure other people. You need not only protect yourself but your family members as well. Show your love for animals too. This includes any animals; even those abandoned dogs and cats wandering around in the streets.

Successful People ***
A successful person always acts with courage. Not only that, he/she is always creative. When faced with situations that are either at the rise or fall of an honor or at a disgrace, he/she will remain calm to deal with such situation. With bravery and courage, he/she has great confidence that he/she will be able to overcome any adversity and ultimately be successful.
Turn an enemy into a friend ***
A great leader, who can perform outstanding jobs, always puts the benefit of his/her enterprise over his/her personal priority. Under all circumstances, he/she can suppress his/her personal biases. This type of performance is not common among ordinary people. Only heroes can do that. If you can turn an enemy into a friend, you are indeed, a big hero.
