Due to personal health issue, temporarily no advice will be published from

Life’s experience ***
We came to this world with two empty hands and will leave this world with two empty hands too. What we have gained in this life is our life’s experience. What we should do is to bequeath our experience to coming generations. The sooner we contribute such experiences to our society, the sooner people can learn from them. With the knowledge gained, they can put them to good use and better themselves.
We are all born with talents ***
We are all born with talents. Look at some handicapped people. They are successful and can take good care of themselves. We are healthy. Therefore we have no excuse, but should be content with what we have, and work hard striving to make a living. As long as we work diligently, we will have a relaxing and happy life.

Daily Advice November 30, 2011
William Ho, Morning host of Canada Chinese radio station AM1470, recites one piece of good advice in his program titled "一言驚醒夢中人 One Smart Advice Wakes You Up" everyday from Monday through Friday.
A mortal world ***
Living in this world is like having a dream in the spring. There is no point in complaining with mixed emotions. Don’t go back to past experiences since they no longer exist. They are like fallen flower petals flowing away on river currents, and they will never return. There is a saying that no flowers can blossom forever. Life is the same. There are ups and downs.
Peace is precious ***
Don’t haggle over small stuff. There is no value in losing your temper over such trivial matters. Don’t be emotional and get angry. All things eventually will work out. Don’t let them affect your health. Just be patient and enjoy being at peace.

Experiences ***
There are many life events that occur which you don’t know how to treasure. Only after you have had a bad experience, then you begin to value them. You don’t know how valuable life is, until you have been seriously ill. You don’t know how valuable a relationship is until you have lost it. You begin to value your job more, after you have had the experience not being able to find a job.
There are times that you need to give up ***
If things do not belong to you, you must give them up. If you force yourself to fight for it, you may end up getting seriously hurt. There are times when you need to give up certain things. Give up your prejudices, personal hatreds and excessive demands for luxurious items. If you can do that, you will have a more relaxing life.

Life’s events ***
Always maintain a tranquil disposition in dealing with life events. There is no need to be overly worried about everything. You won’t be surprised to learn that many disastrous situations that can turn into something good. Unexpected financial losses can cause disasters to disappear. When faced with your life road in front of you, you have no choice but to walk carefully. Remember to go with the flow and everything will turn out to be fine.
Learn from your experience and try again ***
Don’t be dispirited because of your failure. You should face your failure with a smile and a positive attitude. Don’t pay attention how people view you and don’t be afraid of your failure. What you should do it to maintain your confidence that you can learn something from your experience and try again. Almighty God will not let you down if you are willing to try again and ultimately you will succeed.

Karma ***
We know the rule of cause and effect. Yet who knows what karma is. We should know whatever we do, whether it is good or bad. Someday it will come back to haunt us. If we continue to do good deeds, we may be rewarded with fame. If we do things that are injurious to others, we ultimately will get hurt. Who knows what your karma is. But it is stupid if you do something that you know it is wrong. If you are in the middle of doing something wrong, reverse course before you are overtaken by misfortune.
Spend more time with your family ***
When you leave this world, you cannot take your wealth with you. Therefore there is no need to spend too much time on wealth and fame. You cannot avoid having to relinquish wealth and fame after death. Why don’t you look at your life and ask yourself why are you working so hard and for what? Most people’s goal in life is to protect their family and make sure they have a good life. If so, spend more time with your family.

William Ho, Morning host of Canada Chinese radio station AM1470, recites one piece of good advice in his program titled "一言驚醒夢中人 One Smart Advice Wakes You Up" everyday from Monday through Friday.
Standing up like a crane among chickens ***
If you want to be outstanding like a crane standing up among chickens, you must make sure you are a capable person. You must train yourself continuously to improve your skills and develop your patience to endure any setbacks. If you cannot accept reality and handle setback periods, you will not have any chance to be successful. Discipline yourself and move forward.
Put in your best effort at work ***
If you want to survive in a work-place, you must do a good job. How to do a good job depends on your attitude. Working relentlessly does not guarantee a good job. What is more important is how you show your interest in your job and how you respect your job. With a positive professional attitude, you will definitely be able to do a good job.

Daily Advice November 18, 2011
William Ho, Morning host of Canada Chinese radio station AM1470, recites one piece of good advice in his program titled "一言驚醒夢中人 One Smart Advice Wakes You Up" everyday from Monday through Friday.
Don’t be afraid of being at a disadvantage ***
Don’t be afraid of being at a disadvantage even if someone forces you to work overtime with no pay. Sometimes, you shouldn’t be overly concerned because of suffering some minor losses. In this case of working overtime, you should feel proud that someone is taking advantage of you. Why? It is because you have the ability to contribute something in your work-place. Such action can enhance the road to future prospects. By then, you will have your reward.
Suffering a minor loss may not necessarily be painful ***
Suffering a minor loss may not necessarily be painful and it is definitely not a disaster. If you look at it with a positive attitude, it is a kind of appeal. As long as you are not calculating such a small loss, you can view yourself as a capable person and should feel proud of yourself even though people are taking advantage of you. It is because people think you are a capable person. Suffering a small loss may not be a bad thing in your life.

Daily Advice November 17, 2011 信心
William Ho, Morning host of Canada Chinese radio station AM1470, recites one piece of good advice in his program titled "一言驚醒夢中人 One Smart Advice Wakes You Up" everyday from Monday through Friday.
Confidence ***
Having confidence is certainly a good thing, but you should also be willing to put in effort to learn new things. Learning new things can enhance your knowledge. With better and more knowledge, your confidence in yourself will grow. You will have more strength to apply what you have learned and you will find that you can achieve better results with half of your normal effort.
To be effective, you should have both knowledge and confidence ***
Everybody has some knowledge of everything but if your knowledge is abstract and you never practice what you know, it means you don’t have the required knowledge to perform the job. However, if you have the required knowledge but you are lack of confidence, you still won’t be able to perform the job. Therefore you must have both knowledge and confidence to do a good job.

Daily Advice November 16, 2011
William Ho, Morning host of Canada Chinese radio station AM1470, recites one piece of good advice in his program titled "一言驚醒夢中人 One Smart Advice Wakes You Up" everyday from Monday through Friday.

Value friendship ***
A good relationship cannot be built overnight. It takes a lot of patience and time. Accordingly, it is prudent not to argue over small stuff. Don’t say things to hurt people just because you want to win a fight. Once you destroy a relationship, you may never be able rebuild it. Even if you think you are able to restore a relationship, it will never be the same as before.
How to treat people ***
When you deal with people, leave room for negotiation. Be kind to people and they will be kind to you. If you make things easier for people, they will do the same to you. If you take the first step to respect people, they will respect you too.

To be content is to be fortunate ***
If you are contented with what you have, you are a lucky person. You are lucky if you have a job. Living a simple life brings you good luck too. If you don’t have any disasters, you are already a lucky person. If you don’t have any extravagant desires, you have the good luck charm of being at peace with yourself. If you never fight with anyone, you are a lucky star. When you are healthy, you don’t know how lucky you are.

Love your family member ***
You should always show that you care for and love your family members. Say a few words of appreciation and try to be more understanding. Sometimes you have to put on their shoes and think of what they want. Don’t be too demanding of them but be a little forgiving to them.

When you are down, you can try to get together with a few good friends. Go to watch a comedy movie and laugh freely with them. Afterwards go and find a place to have a cup of coffee.

Perform good deeds ***
Perform good deeds ***
People should perform good deeds and shouldn’t do anything injurious to others. The best thing to do is charity work. However, when you perform charity work, you should not be arrogant; otherwise if you are not careful, you may end up hurting other people’s feelings. Such behavior cannot be considered as charity work but rather you have done something injurious to others.
Use wisdom to perform your work ***
You must use wisdom to perform any work including charity work. When performing charity work, make sure you use your intelligence, wealth and labor. The key point is to do something in which you have an interest. Only then, will you be able to provide a long-term service.

Have you ever experienced this? ***
Although you have something seriously bothering you, all a sudden you have thought it through and found an answer. Your heavy burden is lifted and you feel stress-free. This is purely because of your change in your attitude and your capacity to look at things from a different angle. As a result, you begin to realize that the reality of your current difficulty is not as serious as you originally thought.
Take it easy ***
There are times in one’s life that you may feel helpless. Your tranquil mood, all a sudden, is being disturbed and you become tense. Have you ever thought of the possibility that everything is ordained and there is nothing you can do about it? If this is the case, why don’t you take it easy and enjoy life?

Don't haggle over the past animosity ***
No matter how deeply you were hurt, try to be forgiving. The noblest thing to do is to be tolerant of other people's faults. Don't haggle over the past animosity. Turn your hatred around and make it become a passionate love. In this way, you can turn someone whom you hate into becoming an ally. Then, both of you can move on with your lives and you will find that your life becomes more relaxed and meaningful.

Promises, promises ***
What do people like to pay attention to? They like to check whether other people keep their promises or not, but they seldom notice whether they, themselves, have kept their own promises or not. We all should know that we have the responsibility to carry out our promises. Even if we cannot deliver it, we should at least recognize it and let other people know it too.

Greed is a disaster omen ***
Greed is a disaster omen. Such greed includes exchanging a vegetarian diet for high priced delicacies, simple garments to silks and satins, modest dwellings for mansions, and bicycles for luxurious cars. In order to satisfy such desires, people may make the wrong decision and do stupid things resulting hurting themselves.

To offer help is a kind of happiness ***
To offer help is a kind of happiness. If you are sincere in your charity work, you will have good luck. If you think you can help people, you will definitely feel good about it. Doing one good deed every day will bring you satisfaction and happiness. Naturally you will smile from within.

Always show off ***
Don’t think you are smart because you always show off by fighting with others. The truth of the matter is that intelligent people think you are a person with no morals and the comments which you may receive from people with shallow knowledge do not mean anything. Therefore, there is no need to show off by fighting with people.
Disagreement ***
Whenever there is any disagreement, there is no point in losing your temper. This type of behavior will only make things worse. The best way to handle this situation is to focus on the opinion not the people. If you cannot reach an agreement with your opponent, find another way to continue the discussion in a peaceful manner.
