*****************.
Tom was in Vegas attending a conference. He arrived one day earlier before the conference started.
It was a sunny afternoon. Tom relaxed by the pool. He ordered a cocktail thinking about what he was going to present in the conference. All of a sudden, the sound of a big splash disturbed his thinking.
He looked at the pool and noticed a young man diving into the pool. This pool reminded him how he saved a child over twenty years ago. He saw a child struggling for survival. He immediately jumped into the pool and dragged the boy out of the pool.
As soon as they were out of the pool, the parents of the boy, the safety guard, the security guy and a few onlookers were gathered together to see what happened. Tom left the safety guard to take care of the boy.
Tom was wondering what happened to the boy. By now, he should finish college and perhaps a successful business man.
A young man walked by and said hello as a courtesy. He just finished his diving and laps and sat down next to Tom, drying his body. He quickly finished his drink.
Tom wanted to start a conversation. Before he had a chance, the young man stood up and started to walk away. As he was walking, he remembered his parents asked him to look for the man who saved his life to thank him as they didn’t have a chance to say the words of “thank you.”
Author’s notes: this story can be developed into the two being business competitors. The young man uses all his dirty tricks to destroy Tom’s career. He even seduced his wife to divorce him. Tom ended as a homeless person when the young man finally discovered Tom was his life saver.
