At the age of thirteen, Mary received a gift delivered at the door around New Year Eve. The gift was a silver necklace without any pendant.
She asked herself who would send her such a gift. She never figured it out, putting it in her jewelry box and not looking at it again until
she received a gift of a silver star pendant the following year.
She put on the necklace with the star. Looking at the mirror, she saw a well dressed elegant lady wearing the necklace with the star over her red blouse. She was convinced that she looked familiar and has seen her somewhere in the past. She closed and opened her eyes, the lady no longer there.
Mary continued to receive a pendant every year until she reached
the age of eighteen. By day end of December 31, the gift hasn’t arrived, Mary became a bit disappointed.
When count down was done, the door bell rang. Mary dashed to open the door.
A lady Santa Clause stood at the door.
“Someone who loves you asks me to deliver this gift to you.”
“Who?”
“She didn’t leave her name but wished you luck going to college. She also asked you to open the gift.”
Mary opened it and found a Diamond heart pendant.
“Oh, I love it.”
Mary raised her head to thank the deliver for the delivery but she already left.
Mary’s father yelled from inside of the house. “Stop her. She is your mother. She left us for a rich man when you were two.”
