做個好公民 *** 人人都應有責任 要做一個好公民 首先要以身作則 處處都要守規矩 不應該隨處吸煙 不應隨處拋垃圾 公眾場所要守禮 排隊守禮是最好	Be a good citizen  ***    Everyone should assume the responsibility of being a good citizen.  First you must set a good example, and be a role model for others to follow.   No matter wherever you go, don’t break the rules.  You shouldn’t smoke in a non-smoking area.  You shouldn’t freely throw garbage anywhere you like.  You must follow public rules: e.g. don’t jump the queue in public.
教育下一代  *** 人人應該有責任 好好教育下一代 雖然未必是父母 又或者是位老師 也可教育下一代 最好肯以身作則 排隊守禮不爭先 讓位長者好榜樣	Educate the next generation **         Everyone should have the responsibility to educate the next generation.  You don’t have to be a parent or a teacher to educate them.  You can act as a role model.  For example, line up properly and don’t jump the queue.  Give your seat to seniors.  These are good examples for the younger generation to follow.

成功與失敗 *** 莫因一時的成功 就變得自誇其才 而弄到得意忘形 到頭來得不償失 莫因一時的失敗 就變得喪失鬥志 而弄到自甘墮落 從此就一厥不振	Success and failure  ***          Don’t be boastful of one time success and get carried away to the degree that people turn a happy event into something disastrous.  Under this condition, what they have lost cannot make up for what they have gained.  Don’t despair because of one time failure.  Don’t lose your confidence and become demoralized that you destroy your own career.
成功的因素 *** 辦事成功的因素 首先定要有遠見 擁有廣泛的常識 還有專門的知識 辦事要有責任感 而且能承受壓力 不拍艱苦肯奮鬥 不會退卻會前進	Success factors  ***      Success factors include:  having a vision, possessing general knowledge and specialized skills, possessing a sense of responsibility, withstanding all kinds of pressure, willing to struggle through tough times, and always moving forward and not retreating.

Daily Advice June 27, 2013 把握著機會 Grasp any opportunities

把握著機會 *** 機會難尋要留神 莫讓機會空溜過 好好把握著機會 把潛能盡量發揮 為己為家謀幸福 努力奮鬥做到好 能夠做到此地步 可算對得起自己	Grasp any opportunities  ***            Opportunities are hard to find.   Watch out for them and don’t let them slip through your fingers.  Make sure you grasp them and take advantage of them to demonstrate your potential to help you develop your career.   Do it for yourself, and for others, and make sure you put in your best efforts.  Only if you do that, you can claim you have carried out your responsibility.
服務態度 *** 無論做甚麼工作 服務態度定要好 先養成熱愛工作 有愛心自然開心 對工作有利無害 不但工作效率高 容易和別人溝通 合作愉快大家好	Service attitude ***       No matter what kind of job you do, you must keep a good service attitude.   First develop a love for the work you do.   If you love your job, you will be happy.  With a positive attitude, you will do a good job.  You will be able to produce a high working efficiency and able to communicate well with others.   People will like to cooperate with you.

深思熟慮 *** 做人要深思熟慮 保持鎮定的精神 培養寧靜的心智 辦事能心平氣和 思想會加倍迅速 判斷力也會準確 能做到從容不迫 定可以擔當重任	Being thoughtful at all times ***    People ought to be thoughtful and be calm at all times.  If they can keep a calm spirit, they can handle things peacefully, react to all conditions effectively, and make an accurate judgment.  If people can handle things calmly, then they can be given more responsibilities, and can take a leadership role.
性急多失敗  *** 天下事千頭萬緒 若不保持著安寧 性急應付每件事 失敗會多過成功 一定要心平氣和 才可以大事化小 繼而把小事化無 才可以天下太平	Impatient will likely cause people to  fail ***       Most things in this world are complicated. If people do not maintain tranquility, but become impatient in coping with everything, they are unlikely to be successful.  Chances are they will fail.  Therefore, they should be calm at all times.  Only with such an attitude to handle things, will they be able diminish large problems, turning them into small ones, and causing small problems to disappear. In this way, tranquility will be maintained.

怕未上位 *** 人怕自己沒上位 擔憂未遇到貴人 其實有沒有考慮 自己是否能勝任 如果未能夠勝任 立即去追求進步 把自己做好為止 將來會名成利就	Afraid of not having a chance to be promoted ***    Some people always worry that they may not be given the chance to be promoted.  They also worry that they have not met someone who is willing to assist them to move upwards to a better position.  In reality, have they ever thought of whether they are ready and capable of handling the job of a senior position?  If they know that they cannot handle it, they should pursuit more knowledge and improve themselves to be better prepared for any upcoming opportunities.  Chances are that they will eventually be given the opportunities.
一定會出勝 *** 身邊若強手如林 很容易被人吃掉 不可以輕舉莽動 一定要隨機應變 掩飾自己的才能 可免一時的災難 等待時機才出手 到時一定會出勝	You will win *** If you are surrounded by a group of aggressive competitors, you may be eaten alive.  Don’t take any chances without thinking your moves through carefully.  Be prepared to deal with any changes and remain low key about your capabilities.  This way, you may be able to avoid disastrous events. Wait for a good opportunity before you compete.  Then, you will win.

Daily Advice June 24, 2013 事事攬上身

事事攬上身 *** 職場上非你不可 事事都要攬上身 親力親為不肯放 從不讓別人幫手 結果是壓力重重 這樣處事的態度 到頭來弄壞身體 這是完全不值得	Be responsible for everything *** Don’t think that your work-place cannot survive without you.   Don’t take everything under your responsibility and try to do everything on your own.  Don’t prevent anyone from helping you.  Such behavior will create stress for you and ultimately may affect your health.   This is not totally worth it.
放下才安樂 *** 肯放下才可安樂 就好像走路一樣 前腳走後腳要放 不可能一味在想 後腳踏過的地方 是否屬我佔有的 如果想向前行走 就一定要放後腳	You will feel happier if you can let go *** You will feel lighter if you can let go of your load.  This is like walking.   You must let go of your back leg while you move your front leg forward.  Don’t think what you have stepped over belongs to you and you will not let it go.   If you want to step forward, you must let go off your back leg.

應該怎樣做 ＊＊＊ 如果心不存妄念 自然就不會妄動 如果口不會妄言 自然定會是真誠 如置於是非之外 自然會分辨是非 如置於利害之外 自然會衡量利害	How should we behave?  ***   If you do not harbor delusions, you will avoid having frivolous desires.  If you never speak arrogantly, you can be regarded as a sincere person.  If you are not involved in propagating rumors, naturally you can distinguish right from wrong.  If you are not involved in rash risk-taking, you have the capability of measuring the value of money.
作正確判斷 *** 如果有主觀推論 看事只會看外表 末能夠真正明暸 事情的真實情況 很難有正確判斷 一定要消除主觀 才不受外界影響 才可作正確判斷	To make the right judgment ***    If you judge things subjectively, you will end up only looking at the surface of everything and will never understand the details.  In such circumstances, you will never be able to make the right judgment.  You must overcome your subjectivity, so that you may not be swayed by irrelevant influence, and can therefore make the correct judgment.
