Change a person ***

Actually it is not an easy task to change a person.  If you criticize a person, you may end up being an enemy to that person.  He/she will not accept your criticism.  The best approach is to be inclusive with a modest attitude.  This way, you may have a chance to win his/her agreement.

Want to be successful ***

If you really want to succeed, first establish an objective.  Make sure your target is not unrealistic.  It must be a practical one, and one that can be achieved.   Make a plan how to achieve such an objective.  Follow your plan and execute it.  When you encounter problems that you cannot resolve, you must ask for external help.  As long as you have confidence, you will be successful.

Daily Advice February 20, 2013 人生觀 * Outlook on life

Outlook on life ***

Everyone's outlook on life may not be the same.   Some people do measure life achievements by fame and wealth, while others only chase fame and fortune. People’s favorites are different.  Don’t judge people based on their outlook in life.

God is fair ***

Heaven is actually very fair.  Opportunity is everywhere for everyone.  It all depends on how you cope with life.  You can blame heaven and earth for not giving you an opportunity or you can generate opportunities for yourself.   There are alert people who grasp each opportunity and never let it slip away.

Knowing your own self  ***

Living in the current complex society, in addition to having intellectual wisdom, one must know oneself.  One should know one’s own strength and weaknesses.  Only then, you can evaluate your own value.  Make your best efforts to improve your weaknesses and take advantage of your strength to develop your career. Be practical and move upwards your career ladder step by step.

It can be a thankless job ***

Sometimes people need to pretend to be deaf or blind.  Being deaf or blind is harmless.   But if you are always trying to be a peacemaker, you may not be able to satisfy the people above and may become the enemy of the people below.  Net net, you upset both parties.  It is definitely a thankless job.

Competition is a good thing

Competition is a good thing ***

Competition is a good thing.  It makes you excited.  It is like playing a chess game.  No matter how skillful you are, you cannot underestimate the skill of your opponent.  Pay full attention to your opponent's threats and strategies.  Think carefully before you make each move.  You need to control the game before you can win.

Winners ***

Some people may think that they are born winners.  But in fact, no one is born as a winner.  All winners must have gone through a lot of hard work and must possess sports etiquette.  They must have confidence in themselves, believe in their own ability, and remain positive at all times.  Only if they can do that, will they become winners.

Turn a deaf ear to unpleasant events

Turn a deaf ear to unpleasant events ***

Don’t be stubborn about everything.  Don’t destroy a good relationship because of a few unpleasant words.  It is even worse if you lose your appetite or get angry because of such words.   This is totally not worth it.   Why don’t you turn a deaf ear to those words?   Treat them with a smile and let them go.

Baby laugh ***

You can’t buy a laugh with a piece of gold or silver.   But when you see a baby laugh, you will laugh too.   A baby’s laugh is worth a thousand pieces of gold.   Why don’t you laugh with a baby? You will have an open-mind, and your troubles will soon be gone.  Instead of bleakness, you will see a beautiful world.

Daily Advice February 14, 2013 情人節 Valentine’s Day

Valentine’s Day  ***

Congratulate all lovers and wish them the capacity to say to their partner, in the morning and at night, that they love each other forever.   We wish you all can share both joy and sorrow, go through both thick and thin, grow old together and enjoy your grandchildren together.

Love is sweet  ***

Love is sweet and is not meant to engender quarrel over everything.    It is natural when you have love and also have hate.   There is no need to fight over small things everyday.  Whenever there is love, there is sacrifice.   For love, there is no harm to sacrifice a little. If you are willing to forgive a little, you will have sweet days.

Love and conflict ***

Even though people are deeply in love, they do have conflicts.  Instead of getting rid of their bias, they try their best to change the thinking of those they love.  This only results in more misunderstanding.  But if they are willing to give space to each other, and take one step backwards, they will have much sweeter days of intimate love.

How to measure love ***

Can love be measured?  Why do you have to judge who loves whom more and who loves whom less?   Why do you have to measure love?  Everyone must learn to accept the truth that, as long as there is love, there is bound to be sacrifice.  If you are willing to sacrifice a   little, you will end up being more deeply loved by your partner.
