There are some things in daily life that parents should allow children to be in charge. Let them 

choose what they want to do, or both work together to  reach an agreement.

很難會口服心服。

Even when the children have grown up, parents  insist that the children must obey authoritative rules. Under such situation, parents will find it hard to convince their children. The most they can get is lip service.

一个孝顺的孩子，

住在家里的時候，

會帮母親做家務，

分担母親的工作。

A filial and dutiful child will help mother with household. when living at home. He or she will always share mother's work.
