People can be good or bad.  Therefore 

be careful in choosing your friends.   

Choose good persons to be friends and stay away from bad ones to avoid any possible troubles. 

交友.   ***

酒逢知己千杯少

話不投機半句多

結交朋友要選擇

價值觀大家相同

Be friends. ***

There is a Chinese saying.  Faced with true friends, no matter how much drinking together is still not enough but faced with unwanted acquaintances, even a short conversation of one word is too much.  Therefore it is wise to choose people believing in the same values and integrity.
