盡孝道其實不難，

多些時候陪父親，

捉棋打波食晚飯，

父親已開心不已。

Filial piety.        *****

It's not hard to be filial, just spend more time with your father like playing chess, sports games or having dinner together. Such activities will make your father happy.

孝子.       *****

子女如果能做到，

令父母眉开色舞，

又或者开怀大笑，

的確是一位孝子。

Dutiful person.         *****

If you can make your  parents smile, laugh loudly or even dancing for joy, you are indeed a dutiful person.

不要頂嘴.     *****

雖然已經長大了，

仍是父母的孩子，

父親小小的教訓，

免得過不要頂嘴。

Don’t talk back.      *****

Although being grown up children, they are still their parent's baby children.  Therefore they  shouldn’t talk back when their father teaches them a lesson.

忙碌的工作.      *****

父親忙碌的工作，

為養家從無怨言，

再加上教導小孩，

的確是偉大無比。

Hard work.         *****

A father has to work hard to support his family. Yet he never complains about raising a family plus spending time teaching his children. Such love is really great.

 Short Story: Three Gun Shots

Author: Philip Chan

Suddenly Tom noticed foot prints in the snow. Who else lived in this remote place? He was debating whether he would find out more or not. Curiously he followed the foot prints to the community car park. A man pushed a woman into the car and closed the door. The car engine started. A gunshot was fired. The car door swung open and the woman got out of the car. A dog jumped out and caught the woman. 

Tom heard the second gunshot. The dog's blood was flowing over the woman's body. Tom rushed to help the woman get up. To his shock, the woman was his wife, Mary. 

"What happened?" 

Mary cried. "The man was your cousin, Dennis. He raped me two months ago. I don't know who told him I am pregnant." 

"He called me to borrow some money. I told him no. My money is reserved for your pregnancy." 

Mary cried saying, "He called me to claim the baby was his. He asked for $50,000 to silence him. I told him to meet me at the car park." 

Tom replied, "Listen carefully. Give me the gun." Tom wiped the finger prints off the gun and pointed the gun at Mary. 

Mary pleaded," Please don't. For the sake of our baby. Please don't." 

Tom answered,"Mary, you take care of our baby. I'll tell the police I killed Dennis and you." 

Tom fired the gun at Mary's left arm.

Sirens of police cars woke up the whole neighborhood.

you can also make a phone call to keep her updated on what's going on.

孩子不管有多大，

在父母心中永遠，

是最疼愛的寶貝，

囉嗦少少要接受。

No matter how old the child is, he or she, in the hearts of the parents, 

is forever the most beloved baby. Don’t make an issue when your parents are a little annoyed.
